Level 566 has launched two new sites in the past month.
Edwards Digital Media
EDM is a video production company, creative marketing and advertising group. Our soul purpose is to get you the most for your money. Edwards Digital Media will provide your service, organization or business with an impressive final product with the highest possible standards we can achieve.

EDM Back Lot
The back lot is a showcase for the videos that EDM produces. It is also a showcase for other producers to promote their videos and talents.
These sites were developed with simplicity and functionality in mind. We worked with the client to have a consistent look and feel along all the sites created for EDM. The videos are being displayed in the JWplayer. The administration features of the back lot site allow for customizations for the categories for the videos.
These sites together begin the framework for the EDM empire and there is more to come.

Working on Stuff

Today I am working to finish up a site called. Backlot. It is a video sharing site for Edwards Digital Media.
The exciting or at least challenging things that I have to work on today is learning how to get a thumbnail from an uploaded video. I would prefer to do it automatically so I don’t have to provide a seconday upload for the customer. This will keep the upload process fast and simple, just upload the video and i will take care of the rest.
After I figure out the thumbnail issue then all that is left is displaying those thumbs on a page with a gridview that has pageination and is sortable via a dropdown list at the top of the page of the categories.
Oh and of course they have to be able to link from that page to the video to actually be able to watch it sense that is the whole idea behind this site.
